Pope Francis prayer to Virgin Mary for protection from coronavirus

Magis Europe 2020 and the coronavirus situation

As you are aware, the current global coronavirus situation does not allow us to plan ahead. We are keeping up with the latest news and try to adapt to the current situation as well as we can. Please, read this article for important updates!

Dear Magis Friends,

As you are aware, the current global coronavirus situation does not allow us to plan ahead. We are keeping up with the latest news and try to adapt to the current situation as well as we can.

Application to Magis 2020 is still possible because we hope and pray that the situation gets better by August and Magis 2020 can be held as planned. However, we decided to pause the payment of participation fees in order to avoid transaction fees of probable refunds. So from now on, we kindly ask you NOT to transfer money after applying because your application is considered final without paying the participation fee.

For those who have already paid their fee: please note that if Magis 2020 has to be cancelled due to the global situation and/or (inter)national regulations, their participation fee will be fully refunded.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at hello@magis.jesuits.eu.

In the meantime, the MAG+S Crisis Calendar on our Facebook page is an excellent opportunity to pray together and stay connected: https://www.facebook.com/MAGISEU/.

Let us pray together with Pope Francis and the whole Church to Our Lady for the healing and protection of all:

O Mary,
you always shine on our path
as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who at the cross took part in Jesus' pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People,
know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide
so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting
after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon himself our sufferings
and carried our sorrows
to lead us, through the cross,
to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.

Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Please also pray for this year’s MAGIS Europe meeting.
