Walking in God's presence

God's presence highland

This experiment is a walking pilgrimage from Budapest to Esztergom (so-called Hungarian Zion) through natural reserves of National Park Duna-Ipoly, with nice forests, valleys/ravines, hills, cliffs and look-out places, caves where hermits used to live, and Christian sacral places. By means of walking, spirituality and special prayers (e.g. silentium), we will try to get closer to God.

Mostly we will walk 20-25 km on hiking paths and hills (partially mountainous terrain), bringing our backpacks with us. We will have simple accommodation with shower facilities and meals/kitchen are provided mainly by local monasteries and parishes at different places along the way.
