Hungary will host the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress in September 2020. In order to prepare for it, we would like to offer the possibility to reflect together on the Eucharist as the Mystery of the Body and Blood of Christ. “The Eucharist creates the Church and the Church creates the Eucharist”: Fr. Henri de Lubac SJ coined this expression based on early Christian Tradition. We will deepen our knowledge about the strong mutual relation between Eucharist and Church from a wide range of perspectives, as seen from the Bible, the liturgy, papal magisterium, spiritual experience, theological thought, and daily Christian life. Mornings will be dedicated to study, and structured by an introductory talk, followed by personal reading/reflection, and group sharing. Afternoons will offer leisure activities. Daily celebration of the Holy Mass in the evenings and some moments of Eucharistic adoration are, of course, scheduled in the program.
