Liturgy and art of Greek Catholic church

Description

We'll be hosted at Greek catholic community. The Greek Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the episcopal residence in Križevci were founded on the foundations of an Augustinian and later a Franciscan monastery. As the seat of the diocese, Križevci was assigned to the Greek Catholics by Empress Maria Theresa and Pope Pius VI. as early as 1777, but the Baroque architecture of the monastery and the church only from 1801 gradually adapted to the needs of the episcopal residence and the Eastern liturgy. The bishop's residence preserves a very valuable library in which incunabula have also been found. We'll discover some of the treasures hidden there. The Greek catholic priests will introduce us to the Eastern rite. That includes spirituality, theology, discipline, architecture, music, singing, and theological emphasis.
